You may enjoy choosing your own flights and hotels for a Vietnam trip. Airport pickups, a guide you can understand and a pace that works for everyone can take more preparation. ChungTa Travel offers tailor-made itineraries, private transport and multilingual services, helping you keep the freedom of independent travel while getting support where you need it.
Whether you are travelling from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia or elsewhere, you can plan with us before arriving. Already in Vietnam? You can also request just a transfer, a guide or a day trip. ChungTa Travel is dedicated to offering independent travellers the most comprehensive, flexible and reassuring travel options in Vietnam.

Why plan your Vietnam trip with ChungTa?
Travel independently without arranging every detail yourself
Enjoying the search for a hotel or a café does not mean you want to organise every car journey. Keep your free days and ask us to arrange an airport transfer and one excursion. Travelling with children or older relatives? Discuss accommodation, transport and daily activities together instead. Different needs call for different levels of help.
Chinese, English and other language support, arranged around your trip
You might prefer to discuss details in Chinese before departure while friends would like an English-speaking guide. Tell us when you enquire. Customer-support and guiding languages are confirmed separately, so you can discuss meeting points, activities and individual needs in the appropriate language. Requested languages and dates are subject to the arrangements confirmed before booking.
Book a single service, even after arriving in Vietnam
You do not need to buy a full itinerary to arrange one day with a car. Add transfers to accommodation you have already booked, or ask about a private guide or local experience while in Ho Chi Minh City. Short-notice requests depend on vehicles, guides and ticket availability; contacting us once your dates are known gives more time to make arrangements.
Travel should feel easy, not complicated
We are travel-planning specialists who love exploring and know Vietnamese culture. Having experienced both the pleasures of independent travel and the preparation it involves, we aim to make it easier and more flexible. We believe travel should not be held back by too much planning or get lost in the details.
From day trips, tickets, SIM cards and visa application assistance to guides and accommodation recommendations, we help with the small but important details. Read more about ChungTa Travel.
Ho Chi Minh City travel: choose support for the days that need it
With a few days available, you can use Ho Chi Minh City as your base and choose a nearby excursion that interests you. These are planning ideas, not a fixed departure itinerary. Flight times, accommodation and the needs of your companions will shape the final schedule.
City architecture, culture and cafés
The buildings around the Central Post Office, central streets and cafés can form a gentler day. A private guide can explain the history, food and everyday life. If you only want to visit a few nearby places, walking and arranging your own rides may be enough; a full-day car is not always necessary.
Cu Chi, or My Tho and the Mekong
Consider Cu Chi for history, or the My Tho area for waterways and rural life. With children, older relatives or an interest in spending longer at each stop, prioritise one direction to reduce a busy day of transfers. Check whether boats, entrance tickets, meals and guiding are included alongside transport in your chosen plan.
Keep a day for your own interests
Markets, photography, meals or golf can shape a day around your companions. If you want to shop before flying home, organise luggage and pickup arrangements first and leave a comfortable margin before your flight.
For neighbourhoods, sights and daily planning, read our Ho Chi Minh City independent travel guide. Choose southern Vietnam private cars and airport transfers for transport, or a private guide in southern Vietnam for cultural interpretation. The guide-only service does not include a vehicle; combine them when needed.
Beyond Ho Chi Minh City: choose the Vietnam trip you want
Hanoi, Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay: Consider northern Vietnam for an old-city stay, landscapes and boat trips. Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay lie in different directions, and overnight cruises have specific ports and boarding arrangements. Choose the experiences first, then decide where to stay rather than changing hotels every day.
Da Nang and Hoi An: Central Vietnam is worth comparing if you want a beach stay and time in an old town. Staying by the beach in Da Nang or near Hoi An’s old town changes your evening walks, meals and transfers. Allow a substantial time slot for an activity such as Ba Na Hills instead of squeezing it between several distant stops.
Phu Quoc: For an island holiday with family activities and hotel downtime, group your stays and outings around the north and south of the island. Island transport must be confirmed for the actual route; it is not the same service as mainland southern Vietnam transport.
Not sure which region suits you? Start with our Vietnam travel guide, then discuss nights, rooms, transfers and free time through our tailor-made travel service.

A full itinerary or just one service?
Discuss your trip, then confirm the plan and price
Tell us your destinations, dates, party size and whether you need individual services or a complete itinerary. With children or older relatives, mention ages, walking preferences, rest time and dietary needs. For a car, add pickup and drop-off points and luggage; for golf, include the number of players and rounds.
You do not need a complete itinerary to start. Share flights or accommodation already booked and leave undecided details open. Do not send passport copies, card details or other sensitive information through public comments or a general enquiry form.
Look beyond the total price. Confirm what is included for vehicles, guides, rooms, tickets and meals, as well as parking, tolls, overtime, night service, child seats, additional transfers and change or cancellation terms. Ask separately whether flights are included: local ground arrangements do not automatically include international airfare.
ChungTa Travel is operated by CHUNG TA INTERNATIONAL TRAVELING CO., LTD, based in Ho Chi Minh City and serving travellers coming to Vietnam from around the world. You do not need to be in Vietnam to contact us and start planning.
Questions before booking
Does independent travel always need a car and a guide?
No. For a few nearby sights while staying centrally, walking and booking your own rides may be sufficient. Add a car for excursions or luggage needs, and a guide when cultural interpretation would improve your visit.
Can I contact you in Chinese before departure?
Yes. Chinese, English and other customer-support and guiding languages are arranged around your needs. State your preferred language when enquiring; support, guide and driver language arrangements are confirmed separately before booking.
Can I add services after arriving in Vietnam?
You can enquire about individual transfers, guides, tickets or day trips, subject to dates and availability. Share your accommodation, preferred service time and party size to help us check the options.
